Privacy Policy
What we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Last updated 3 August 2026
Who we are
This policy is issued by PrestigeWood (ABN 18 817 875 919), trading as PRESTIGEWOOD, of 20 Fourth Ave, Sunshine, VIC, Australia.
In this policy, "we" and "us" mean PRESTIGEWOOD. "You" means anyone who visits this website or contacts us through it.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Where those obligations do not strictly apply to a business of our size, we apply this policy as our own standard.

What we collect
Information you give us
The enquiry form on our contact page is currently the only place on this site where you can send us personal information. When you use it we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to provide it
- The type of enquiry you select
- Whatever you write in the message field
- The page you sent the enquiry from
Name, email, enquiry type and message are required; without them we cannot respond. Everything else is optional.
Please do not send payment card numbers, government identifiers, health information or other sensitive information through the form. We do not ask for it and we do not need it to quote a floor.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps. These are used to keep the site running and to investigate faults or abuse.
When you submit the enquiry form we store a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address, not the address itself. The hash lets us recognise repeated submissions from the same source so we can limit automated spam. It cannot be reversed to recover your IP address.
What we do not collect
Being specific matters more than being broad, so to be clear about what is not happening on this site today:
- There are no customer accounts and no login for visitors.
- There is no shopping cart and no payment is taken on this site. We quote and invoice separately.
- We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel or any other analytics or advertising tracker.
- We do not run a live chat widget.
- We set no advertising or analytics cookies.
If any of that changes we will update this policy at the same time, and where the law requires it we will ask for your choice before setting non-essential cookies.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote
- To arrange a showroom visit or a site measure
- To supply materials and installation services you engage us for
- To keep records required for accounting, tax, insurance and warranty purposes
- To handle complaints, defects and disputes
- To detect and limit spam, fraud and abuse of the site
We do not use your information for a purpose unrelated to the one you gave it for, unless you agree or the law requires it.
Marketing
We do not currently send marketing emails or SMS. If we start, we will do so only in the ways permitted by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), consent will be sought separately from any other agreement, and every message will carry a working unsubscribe.
Unsubscribing never affects messages about a quote, an appointment, an order or a job in progress.
Who we share it with
We disclose personal information only where it is necessary:
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers, which run the website and store its data
- Installers and subcontractors engaged on your job, where they need your address and job details to carry out the work
- Our accountants, insurers and legal advisers
- Government agencies or law enforcement, where we are legally required to
- A buyer or successor, if the business is sold or restructured
We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose it to advertising platforms.
Where your information is stored
Our database is hosted in Sydney, Australia. Website hosting and image delivery are provided by international providers whose networks operate across multiple countries, which means data in transit may be processed outside Australia.
We take reasonable steps to ensure providers handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you would like the current list of providers and where they process data, ask us and we will send it.
Cookies
This site sets only the cookies required for it to function — for example to keep a page working correctly while you use it. It sets no analytics or advertising cookies, so there is currently nothing to opt out of.
If we later add analytics or advertising, we will add a cookie banner that lets you accept or decline each category before anything non-essential is set.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to respond, complete any work that follows, and meet our record-keeping obligations — generally seven years for records connected to a transaction, in line with Australian tax and business record requirements.
Enquiries that do not lead to work are reviewed periodically and deleted when they are no longer useful. Spam submissions are deleted as they are identified.
How we protect it
- The site is served over HTTPS
- The database is access-controlled and not publicly reachable
- Only people who need access to enquiries have it
- IP addresses are stored hashed, never in the clear
- The enquiry form is rate-limited to reduce automated abuse
No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We may need to verify who you are first.
Australian privacy law does not create a general right to erasure in the way the European GDPR does, and some records must be kept for tax or warranty reasons. Where we cannot delete something, we will tell you why.
To make a request or a complaint, contact us at myucaus@gmail.com or +61 415 529 167. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when what we do changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Changes do not apply retrospectively to work already agreed.
